The Milesight WTS506 is a fully integrated, solar-powered LoRaWAN® weather station designed to deliver high-precision, all-in-one environmental monitoring solution. Ideal for harsh outdoor environments, this station combines multiple meteorological sensors, rugged hardware, and long-range wireless communication to meet the needs of agriculture, meteorology, smart cities, infrastructure, and research.
The Milesight WTS506 comprises three main components that work together seamlessly:
WTS Sensor Unit – includes ultrasonic wind sensors, temperature and humidity sensors, barometric pressure sensor, and a rainfall gauge.
WTS Hub – houses the LoRaWAN® radio module, solar-charging circuitry, backup batteries, and interfaces with the sensor unit.
Solar Panel with Bracket – provides a continuous 15 W charging source to sustain the system off-grid.
This Milesight WTS506 is designed to operate autonomously in remote locations, handling tough conditions like UV exposure, salt spray, and heavy rains. It buffers over 19,000 historical records and retransmits stored data after connection losses to ensure no missing samples
Comprehensive Environmental Monitoring
Integrates sensors for temperature, humidity, wind speed & direction, barometric pressure, and rainfall in one compact system. It is suitable for applications ranging from weather forecasting to smart agricultural monitoring
Solar-Powered with Battery Backup
Milesight WTS506 Equipped with a 15 W monocrystalline solar panel and two 2550 mAh batteries that guarantee at least seven days of operation without sunshine
Rugged Industrial Build
The sensor enclosure is IP65 rated, while the hub is IP67. Constructed with corrosion-resistant materials, the system endures extreme weather conditions in coastal, desert, or high-humidity areas
LoRaWAN® Connectivity
Supports global frequency bands, including EU868 (868 MHz), US915, AU915, and AS923. Offers real-world ranges up to 2 km in urban and 15 km in rural environments
Local Data Reliability
With built-in storage for 19,000+ records and retransmission after outages, this weather station ensures no loss of critical historical data
Easy Setup via NFC & USB-C
Configuration is handled through Milesight’s ToolBox app—either by NFC on smartphones or USB-C connected to a PC
Cloud Integration & Remote Control
Compatible with Milesight IoT Cloud for data visualization, reporting, threshold-based alerts, and firmware updates via mobile/web access
